Technology marches on. Nowadays we have tiny little portable hard drives where once hard drives were so large and heavy that you couldn’t even lift them.

How about this…a touchscreen tablet Braille writer?

A modern Braille writer resembles a laptop with no monitor and an eight-key keyboard. Six keys create characters, one key is a return and the other is a delete key.

Here’s how it works. The user touches eight fingertips to the touchscreen and the keys move to the fingers. If the user becomes loses track of the keys, he only needs to lift all eight fingers off the touchscreen and then put them down again.

Touchscreen braille writers can accommodate users with small or large fingers. Users can even place the tablet around the neck and enter text with hands opposed.
